Quarto, approx 8 x 10 1/2 inches tall, 516 numbered pages, color inserted chapter leaves, a collection of numerous types and decorations with descriptive text in German, publisher's brown buckram elaborately embossed in blind, lettered in gilt, a silver eagle within red diamond logo at center of front cover, recased in sympathetic buckram with original backstrip laid-down, which has since begun to peel, mild rubbing and soiling, a paragraph from page 75 has been excised, photo copies of text of both recto and verso of leaf laid-in, perhaps 2 preliminary pages excised at front, mild foxing to a few leaves, else very good). Tholenaar bookplate to front paste-down.
